AMI Spotlight: Breast Imaging Patient Navigator




The AMI Spotlight is focused on Sharon Pindynski of the Somers Point office. Sharon, who began working with Atlantic Medical Imaging in 2002, is the Breast Imaging Patient Navigator. As the Patient Navigator, she coordinates your care, ordering any necessary tests, treatment, and follow-up care prescribed by your team of breast health specialists. 

Sharon is here to answer your questions and explain medical procedures. She’s also here to provide comfort, compassion, and emotional support to you and your family. 

Knowing she is able to help  patients is what Sharon finds the most rewarding. She understands the sensitivities of each situation and ensures she is there to comfort and educate each patient. Sharon likes to be a sign of hope for those patients going through a very difficult time. 

When she is not working, Sharon and her husband enjoy having date nights on Fridays! In her free time she takes her dog for walks on the beach and enjoys reading. They also look forward to spending time with their three children and six grandchildren. All three live in different states, so family time is something they cherish! 

Be sure to say hello to Sharon next time you are in the Somers Point office! She will be happy to meet you and answer any breast imaging questions you may have!

AMI Spotlight: Office Administrator Somers Point


Sherry Hawk-Briggs, R.T. (R) (M) (MR), Office Administrator of the Somers Point Office, is in the AMI Spotlight. Sherry started with AMI in 2006 as a Radiologic Technologist and in 2008, she moved into women's imaging as a Mammography Technologist.  Sherry assumed the role of Office Administrator in 2012.
As the Office Administrator, Sherry's goal is to ensure all patients receive the highest level of service and care. She believes the hard work of the Somers Point staff is what makes this office a great place to work. Sherry has a passion for helping people, and working in the healthcare field is very rewarding for her.

When she is not at work, Sherry enjoys traveling with her husband. Together, they take hikes and go camping at their cabin in Pennsylvania. Sherry also enjoys sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

AMI Spotlight: Medical Director & Head of Women's Imaging


Meet two of the radiologists at the Somers Point office -- Dr. David Levi and Dr. Peggy Avagliano.  Both physicians are board certified, fellowship trained radiologists.

Dr. Levi, the Medical Director at the Somers Point office, began his career at Atlantic Medical Imaging in 2010. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at North Shore University Hospital.  Dr. Levi is fellowship trained in Musculoskeletal Imaging. 

Dr. Levi credits the hard working, dedicated staff for making the Somers Point office a successful office. Being able to help patients receive quality medical care and knowing he is part of a practice that has worked hard at helping the community for more than 50 years, is what Dr. Levi finds most rewarding about his job. 

Besides being Medical Director of the Somers Point Office, Dr. Levi is a volunteer with Every Breath Counts, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for lung cancer research. The group also supports local programs throughout South Jersey, focusing on the importance of lung cancer education. In his free time, Dr. Levi enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys playing tennis, basketball and traveling.

Dr. Avagliano, known as "Dr. Peggy" to her patients, has been with AMI for 15 years! She received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed her Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Peggy was one of the first fellowship trained women's imagers in the area.  As Head of Women's Imaging, Dr. Peggy is an avid spokesperson on the importance of yearly mammograms and breast health. She strives to meet the needs of each patient and is dedicated to giving them hope when they need it most! 

Dr. Peggy volunteers for Gilda's Club of South Jersey, a non-profit organization that provides community support for those battling cancer and their families. Dr. Peggy and her family also raise and train Seeing Eye service dogs. You will often see Dr. Peggy at local events and fundraisers for the community. When she isn't volunteering, Dr. Peggy enjoys family game night and attending the theater to see shows and musicals.

AMI Spotlight: Somers Point



The AMI Spotlight is focused on the Somers Point office located at 30 East Maryland Avenue. Dr. David Levi is the Medical Director of this office and Sherry Hawk is the Office Administrator. At this office, patients have access to a wide range of diagnostic imaging exams including CT, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, PET/CT, thyroid biopsies and breast imaging exams. 

Dr. Peggy Avagliano, Head of Women's Imaging at AMI, works in the Somers Point office which is recognized by the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. This designation signifies that our center provides services at the highest standards of the radiology profession. Along with digital mammography, patients can schedule breast ultrasound, breast MRI, DEXA scan (bone density) and minimally invasive breast biopsies. AMI Somers Point now offers 3D mammography, the latest in breast imaging technology.

AMI Spotlight: Office Administrator, AMI AtlantiCare



Carrie Jackson, R.T. (R) (M) (MR), Office Administrator of the AMI-AtlantiCare Office, is in the AMI Spotlight.  Carrie joined AMI six years ago when we opened the AMI-AtlantiCare office in Hammonton. Prior to that, she worked with AtlantiCare for over 22 years!

As the Office Administrator, Carrie's goal is to make sure all patients receive the highest level of service and care. She believes the hard working and knowledgeable staff make the Hammonton office a great place to work. They continually help each other and make sure to give superior customer service to each patient.

When she is not at work, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband. They often go fishing and take trips on their boat. Being able to see her three daughters at family dinners is also something Carrie looks forward to. Their family is growing quickly, and Carrie now has three son-in-laws and four grandchildren!

AMI Spotlight: Dr. Falciani & Dr. Graule, AMI AtlantiCare

Dr. Amerigo Falciani and Dr. Melissa Graule are board certified, fellowship trained radiologists. Both began working with Atlantic Medical Imaging in 2007 and joined AMI/AtlantiCare when the office opened in 2009.  Dr. Falciani and Dr. Graule are longtime residents of Hammonton.

 

Dr. Falciani, the Medical Director of AMI/AtlantiCare, received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Kennedy Health System. Dr. Falciani completed his fellowship training in Body Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

 

Dr. Falciani believes that the dedicated employees and state of the art equipment are what makes AMI/AtlantiCare a successful office. If you stop by the office, you may see Dr. Falciani in the waiting room talking to patients. He believes it is important that patients meet the radiologist that will be reading their imaging exam.  And since the Hammonton community is very important to Dr. Falciani, you will see him at various community events (representing AMI/AtlantiCare) including the Red, White and Blueberry Festival, the Mt. Carmel Festival and the annual Halloween parade.  As a graduate of Hammonton High School, Dr. Falciani is proud to give back to the community which has given him so much!    

 

Dr. Graule received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, graduating summa cum laude. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and her fellowship training in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology from Brigham and Women's Hospital. 

 

Dr. Graule sees the Hammonton office as an extended family. Everyone works together as a team to care for the patients, making sure the patients' needs are met. Interacting with patients from her own community is what she finds to be the most rewarding aspect of her job.

AMI Spotlight: AMI AtlantiCare





The AMI Spotlight is focused on the AMI AtlantiCare office. This office opened in 2011 and is located in the AtlantiCare Health Park in Hammonton.  Here patients can schedule MRI, CT scan, mammography, ultrasound, DEXA scan (bone density), and x-ray exams. 

Dr. Amergio Falciani is the Medical Director of this office, and Carrie Jackson is the Office Administrator. Their goal is to provide patients with a knowledgeable and caring staff, who are here to make your visit a positive experience.
